πΉ Position Summary: Windows Support Administrator
Location: Remote
Department: IT Infrastructure / Hosting Support
Reports To: Infrastructure Manager / Technical Support Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Windows Support Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support and managing Windows server environments across multiple hosting tiers: Fully Managed, Core Managed, and Self Managed. The role emphasizes hands-on administration, troubleshooting, customer support, and security best practices in a hosting environment.
π§° Key Responsibilities
π System Administration & Support
Manage Windows servers, updates via Group Policy.
Configure & troubleshoot RDP, DNS, FTP, HTTP/S, SMTP, POP3.
Administer Plesk Panel: SSL, domain/user management, application installations.
Support key services: IIS, FTP, MySQL, SQL Server.
π§ Technical Troubleshooting
Analyze and resolve performance, connectivity, and configuration issues.
Handle Plesk-related support for Fully Managed clients.
Provide limited software support for Core Managed customers.
Basic infrastructure support for Self Managed customers.
π Security and Compliance
Set up and monitor ESET Endpoint Antivirus.
Apply security best practices across environments.
Configure firewalls and secure access procedures.
Guide CMS hardening and patching.
β Backup & Migration
Advise on backup strategies (local and off-server).
Support or lead qualifying migrations.
Address post-migration issues and performance optimizations.
π Monitoring & Alerts
Use tools like Prometheus to manage and respond to service alerts.
Document and escalate issues related to uptime/service availability.

SQL Server & MySQL (Basic Admin)
