QA Analyst

Job Summary: As a Quality Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our software products are of the highest quality and reliability. It will be your responsibility to design, implement, and execute test cases, identify, and document defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create test plans and test cases.
• Develop comprehensive test plans in collaboration with project delivery team, business analyst, developers, and other stakeholders. Test cases should be defined and prioritized based on the project's goals, specifications, and risks.
• Liaison with development during the pre-testing phase, including review of requirements and development specifications, to support test planning and preparation.
• Ensure that software applications are functional, usable, and performant by executing test cases. Perform manual and automated testing as necessary. Test results, including defect reports and test summaries, should be documented, and communicated.
• Set-up and maintenance of test environments in liaison with technical staff and development teams.
• The identification, isolation, and documentation of defects should be done in a clear and concise manner. Ensure that bugs are resolved in a timely manner by collaborating with developers and retesting them after they have been fixed.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts. Work towards increasing automated test coverage by identifying opportunities for test automation.
• Parallel execution of multiple test projects.
• Regression testing should be conducted to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that the software architecture and design are understood in order to facilitate effective testing. Ensure the project's success by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Meeting software quality targets as determined by the IT Projects Delivery Manager
• Liaise with customers and Project Management during UAT, ensuring that issues are replicated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Preparation of test reports, including supporting hand-over notes at the conclusion of the test project.
• To be aware of business continuity processes via the line manager.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, testing tools, and technologies. Improve testing processes and methodologies by proposing and implementing improvements.
