Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS & GitLab)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to serve as the backbone of our cloud infrastructure and automation strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, securing, and scaling our AWS environment while building high-performance CI/CD engines using GitLab.
You aren’t just "managing servers"—you are treating infrastructure as code (IaC) and ensuring our developers have a frictionless path from commit to production.

Key Responsibilities

● Infrastructure Architecture: Design and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable AWS solutions using services like EKS, Lambda, RDS, and S3.
● GitLab CI/CD Leadership: Architect and maintain advanced GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including custom runners, security scanning (SAST/DAST), and automated deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary).
● Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize environment provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to ensure consistency across Dev, Staging, and Prod.
● DevSecOps Integration: Implement "Security at Shift-Left" by integrating automated compliance checks and IAM least-privilege policies directly into the development workflow.
● Reliability & Monitoring: Improve system observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
● Mentorship: Act as a technical lead, conducting code reviews for infrastructure changes and upskilling junior engineers on cloud-native best practices.

Technical Requirements

● AWS Mastery: Extensive experience with core AWS services and a deep understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
● GitLab Power User: Expert knowledge of GitLab CI/CD YAML configurations, environment scoping, and self-hosted runner management.
● Automation Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Go for automating manual tasks and building custom cloud tooling.
● Containerization: Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration.
