SOFTWARE AUTOMATION TESTER - BACKEND

We are looking for a talented and passionate Backend Tester to join our Product Engineering team. This role focuses on building highly responsive, visually engaging, and performance-driven web applications that power our global financial platforms.

Your Mission

• Follow and improve the QA standards defined by the company.
• Perform daily backend server testing to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Utilize and enhance existing QA server tools for functional verification.
• Conduct backend server testing through both manual and automated approaches using testing frameworks or programmatic methods.
• Verify and monitor the performance of backend services.
• Analyze test results and report findings as Jira issues in collaboration with the development team.
• Participate in agile teams organized under Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in backend server testing.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java or Python is a must.
• Hands-on experience with Linux commands and file permissions.
• Good understanding of API testing.
• Familiarity with console-based editors such as vi / vim.
• Knowledge of networking tools like Netstat, Telnet, and Wireshark for investigation and testing.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as HTTP/2, TLS/SSL and Proxy settings.
• Basic knowledge of database testing; exposure to Big Data or Machine Learning is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of financial markets and data is an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
