Oracle RAC Database Administrator – L2
Job Designation: Oracle RAC Database Administrator – Level 2.
Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite.
Experience: 3–5 years in Oracle Database Administration, RAC mandatory.
About the Role:
The Oracle RAC DBA will support high-availability Oracle database environments for core banking and mission-critical applications. Responsibilities include managing 11g/12c/19c databases, RAC clusters, ASM storage, RMAN-based backup/recovery, and Data Guard replication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC and standalone databases
• Manage Grid Infrastructure, ASM diskgroups, listeners
• Perform backup & recovery using RMAN and Data Pump
• Monitor cluster health, CRS services, voting disks, OCR
• Handle DB upgrades, patching (PSU/RU), and migrations
• Configure and monitor Data Guard for DR environments
• Perform performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, TKPROF
• Troubleshoot RAC node eviction, cluster issues, interconnect problems
• Manage user accounts, roles, privileges, and DB security
• Support GoldenGate replication setups
• Provide capacity planning, growth analysis, and daily health checks
• Participate in DR drills and ensure synchronization
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c administration
• Hands-on RAC experience (mandatory)
• Expertise in RMAN, Data Guard, ASM & Grid Infrastructure
• Understanding of Oracle performance tuning and internals
• Experience in DR/HA architectures
• Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting (Shell/Python)
• Experience supporting banking/financial DB environments
