Software Tester

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester with 2 years of hands-on experience in manual and basic automation testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and software applications before release.

Key Responsibilities

. Analyze requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test scenarios

. Perform manual testing for web and software applications

. Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing

. Identify, log, and track bugs using bug tracking tools

. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues

. Validate fixes and perform re-testing

. Ensure application quality meets business and user requirements

. Maintain proper test documentation and reports

Required Skills

. Strong knowledge of Software Testing concepts & SDLC/STLC

. Hands-on experience in Manual Testing

. Experience in test case creation and execution

.Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA / Bugzilla or similar)

. Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation

. Understanding of web applications and APIs (basic)

Preferred Skills

. Basic experience in Automation Testing (Selenium / Cypress – advantage)

. Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman – basic)

. Experience in Agile / Scrum methodology

. Good communication and documentation skills

Eligibility Criteria

. B.Tech / BCA / MCA / B.Sc / M.Sc (Computer Science or related field)

. Minimum 2 years of relevant testing experience

. Experience in testing web or SaaS-based applications preferred
