Senior Software Engineer – Power BI

Minimum Requirement:

· Bachelor's engineering degree in computer science or equivalent

· Minimum 4 years of experience in Power BI



Key Responsibilities:

· Working with customers to understand their business needs and translate them into written requirements, which can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences.

· Building compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models.

· Supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance phases

· Create technical POCs & solution demos

· Contribute in scoping, estimating and proposing of technical solutions

· Provides technical support in system architecture, system design, system integration and technical management.

· Must have hands on experience with tools and processes to improve/maintain system performance and stability in the Production environment

· Comfortable working independently and in a team environment as per requirements.

Skills Required:

· Designing, developing, and deploying BI solutions using Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI, Excel, SSAS, and Azure Data Services.

· T-SQL language/query experience.

· knowledge of Visualization and Data Modelling with DAX queries, functions and formula

· Understanding of Dimensional modelling

· Knowledge of the Azure BI toolset and related technologies

· Advanced Excel expertise (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Power Pivot, functions, etc.)

· Implementing solutions with Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, and/or Common Data Service is an added advantage

· Experience in the Azure analytics space is an added advantage.

· Understanding of row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

· Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, PolyBase, Visual Studio, etc. is an added advantage.
