Business Development Executive- (Experience 1-3years)

A business development executive is responsible for researching and pursuing new business leads for the growth of the business. The role involves active coordination across teams and demands exceptional interpersonal skills.


The role of a Business Development Executive is to assist the organisation's sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. He/She should be able to provide ideas to attract new clients and keep the senior management updated about marketplace and competitor activity. The primary role and responsibilities of a Business Development Executive include:

Build contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities
Keep prospective client database updated
Make cold calls for new business leads
Support in writing new business proposals
Maintain knowledge of all product and service offered by the company
Arrange meetings for senior management with prospective clients
Follow company guidelines and procedures for acquisition of customers, submission of tenders etc.
Competencies and Skills Required:

Must possess strong customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Must have good negotiation skills
Must be able to create good presentations
Must have excellent interpersonal skills

Business Development Manager (Experience: 5 - 12years)

The primary responsibility of a business development manager is to meet the sales and revenue targets of the organization. The role would be responsible to expand the customer base in different geographical locations based on the organization growth plans. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. The role will be the face of the company to drive revenue growth and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.


Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
Competencies and Skills Required

Eligibility Criteria

MBA Marketing graduates are preferred but not a constraint for the right candidate.
At least 4 to 9 years of experience as a senior business development executive or managerial position of a sales team in the IT Services industry.
Experience handling US/UK customers and proficiency in US/UK accent is required. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
Proven sales track record in the previous role.
Experience in MS Office, CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and other marketing tools.
Experience in conducting meetings and closing sales deals with US/UK clients
Business and market awareness about the latest trends in the industry.
Communication & negotiation skills along with the ability to build rapport with foreign clients.
Good team management skills with desirable leadership qualities
Time management and planning skills.
